Did you know that the second largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and one of the best in the entire region, takes place in Ocean City? The St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival is put on by the Delmarva Irish-American Club and marks the unofficial seasonal kick off for many of the area businesses. This annual event has been one of the most popular in Ocean City since its inception in 1980. The parade route is only about 10 minutes away from the Fenwick Inn, but be sure to get there early because parking will be difficult to find the closer you get to the noon start time. There are special awards for the entrants in the parade like best marching band, best motorized float, and best commercial float among others. In addition to the parade, there will be lots of live entertainment, Irish music, food, and drinks. This is a free admission event and is fun for the entire family.
